Update

This is me posting as me again - as you will have observed there was a very long gap in there! I'm posting each entry as if written on the right day, but this year - so the gap is between the two sets of April entries, and this one may continue to be at the top for a while until I think of a solution.

Although there are gaps in the original diary, I still have a few entries (a month or so, I think) to type up. I have been out of the country, broken my shoulder, and various other sundry things, but I was reminded of this by a thread on a Guide Leaders' website about what we looked like when we were Guides.

I will endeavour to put up the last few entries in the near future, shoulder mobility permitting!

Please continue to read and (of course) comment!

I have no idea what I was doing with fibreglass - it's possible our Guide hall had some in, this being the rather safety-unconscious 1970s!

I drew a Thing family tree, I attended Parade Service, I took the collection. I went on a dig but mostly I played with a dog and Bobby. I made supper, lamb chops, mint sauce, spinach, potatoes, and plum crumble. I watched 'Lorna Doone' and after supper and bath 'All Creatures Great and Small' and a programme about India. I was read to by Daddy from 'The Big Six'.

"Well, I went to the library and got 6 books" "And then - oh, year- I went to look for an anrak (din* find one), and I had me hair washed, and I went to ballet (I bin transferred), we did an exam dance." Well, after lunch, I went to Manda's, we practiced for the school concert." Then we played 'Runaways'. I borrowed a book from Amanda but it's very old. When I got home I read and I got a new skirt. Supper then bed followed.
